The place
Pastoral chalet at 1975 m in the Beaufortain, owned by the Commune de Hautecour (Savoie). Occupied by a shepherd during the summer grazing season. Two adjoining structures: a usable stone shelter and a former, quite dilapidated wooden chalet. Access via pastoral tracks from Le Breuil and La Faverge (Hautecour), or straight south from the col du Bozon. For information, contact the town hall of Hautecour.

The setting
Chalet du massif du Beaufortain avec mezzanine, matelas, poêle à bois, table, environ 12 chaises, 8 places de couchage. Aucune eau à proximité, pas de bois mort disponible sur place.
A bit of history
Chalet pastoral reconstruit en 1988 ; comprend aussi un abri en pierre annexe et un ancien chalet en bois délabré à proximité.
