Le Mandrie
The place
Organic and biodynamic agriturismo located at around 870 m on the slopes of Mount Subasio, in the area straddling Foligno and Assisi (Umbria). A remarkably restored former 13th-century Benedictine farm, in a panoramic position over the Umbrian valley open toward Tuscany on a clear day. Run along the principles of the old self-sufficient farms: raw materials come from the estate, managed biodynamically. About a 40-minute walk from the Eremo delle Carceri hermitage (Saint Francis of Assisi), also a starting point for the ascent of Mount Subasio (1290 m). Accommodation and meals by reservation, set along the trails of the Cammino di Francesco.
Getting there
