The place

Always open. Contains tables, benches and a wood reserve. Although it has no bunks, the straw-covered first floor can accommodate around ten people. If the forestry staff do not need it, the municipality is happy to make it available to walkers, provided they respect the following conditions: - occupancy is limited to one day - except in cases of distress, spending the night there is forbidden - if needed, use must be shared with other people - no reservations - fires may only be lit in the stove and with all the usual precautions; the wood used must be supplemented with fallen wood found in the surrounding forest - when you leave this shelter, leave it clean and take your rubbish and empty bottles with you. The Municipality or the State foresters reserve the right to enforce these rules and take appropriate action if necessary, to prevent any misuse. Swiss coordinates: 512855 / 163950. From Les Bioux, go to Bioux-Dessus then to Chalet-Neuf. From there, take the Bois à Ban path on the left.
