The place

Capacity The refuge has 26 sleeping places, split into 2 dormitories of 6, 8 and 12 beds. Facilities include an equipped kitchen and wood-fire heating. There is also parking space for 6 cars. Lighting is powered by solar panels. A shower has been available since August 2018. Winter Access Access to the refuge is difficult in winter and requires cross-country skis, touring skis or snowshoes. A large esplanade and a spit roast are available outside the refuge. Rates and Booking Booking the chalet costs 250 CHF, plus 20 CHF per night per adult. The refuge keys are kept in a secure box, the code for which is provided by the chalet manager. Access and Contact The refuge is located in the Orgevaux vale, above Les Avants near Montreux. To get there, follow the Route du Plan de Châtel. The refuge's GPS coordinates are 561870/147800.
