The place

Former **fire lookout house (palovartijan maja)** on Lattunavaara hill, north of the Ylimmäinen Kivijoki (a tributary of the Kemijoki), municipality of Savukoski (Itä-Lappi, Finnish Lapland). The site consists of a former lookout house, now a museum, and an adjoining autiotupa, both of which formerly housed the lookout watchers. **No cooking or heating possible** — open fires forbidden due to the poor condition of the chimney. Pets allowed with the agreement of other users. Free. Managed by Metsähallitus.
