Larkya Rest House
The place
Teahouse at the foot of the Larkya La pass, in the high-altitude hamlet of Dharamsala (also called Larkya Phedi), on the Manaslu Circuit (Gandaki, Nepal). Located at about 4460 m near Larke Bazar and the village of Samdo, it is the last lodging before crossing the Larkya La (5106 m). Very basic shared-dorm accommodation, outdoor squat toilets, no electricity, and difficulty heating water due to the extreme cold. One or two teahouses on site (Jambala Guest House, Larkey Guest House) providing meals and lodging during the trekking season. A strategic stage for acclimatizing before the pass crossing, with departures around 3 a.m. to reach Bimthang the same day. Indicative rate 12-15 USD per night.
