Lane Cove Hut

The place

DOC hut located in a sheltered cove of Pekapeka Bay, in Whangaroa Harbour in New Zealand's northern Northland. Nearby beach and regenerating coastal forest, good for swimming. Hut is locked, access code provided after mandatory online booking. Camping, dogs and temporary structures are prohibited. Access by boat from Totara North or Whangaroa, or on foot via the Wairakau Stream Track from Campbell Road (stream crossings, demanding terrain).
