Bâtiment actuel construit à Akureyri et transporté sur site en avril/mai 2014 (inauguré le 4 mai 2014), remplaçant une cabane originelle de 1975 (11,5 m², 6 places).

Exploitée par Ferðafélag Akureyrar (association de randonnée d'Akureyri). Vallée de Glerárdalur, Norðurland eystra, Islande, altitude 720 m. Capacité 16 personnes, structure principale 44,4 m² + véranda 19,3 m², accès uniquement à pied (sentier balisé de 11 km). Cuisine, poêle à gaz, lave-linge, toilettes, chauffage, eau de source à proximité.
