Lake Christabel Hut

The place

Standard hut with eight bunks managed by the Department of Conservation (DOC) in Victoria Forest Park, near Greymouth on the West Coast (South Island, New Zealand), at 702 meters elevation on the shore of Lake Christabel. Fees until 30 June 2026: NZD 10/night adult, NZD 5 youth (5-17), free under 5. No booking, payment by Standard Hut Ticket (blue adult, yellow youth) placed in the honesty box or by an annual Backcountry Hut Pass valid at most standard and serviced huts.
