The place
Unstaffed public cabin (almenningshytte) at the north-eastern end of Lågvatnet (Steinkjer municipality, Trøndelag, Norway). Open all year, unlocked. Former shepherd's hut restored and extended in 1992, divided into a rental section and a public section. The public section is open to hikers on a free-access basis without booking, with no dedicated overnight accommodation. Lake views, good standard of upkeep. Compatible with SjekkUT (hiking register).
