Standard access from Les Charbonnières by taking the Mouthe road, then turning left into a clearing below at the place known as Haut des Près. A notable location in the Vallée de Joux, a historic centre of the Swiss high-end watchmaking industry (Audemars Piguet, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Patek Philippe). A forest setting typical of the Vaud Jura: beech-fir woods, characteristic wooded pastures, emblematic cultural landscapes. Emblematic wildlife: Jura chamois, Eurasian lynx, capercaillie, roe deer.
