The place

This refuge is occupied by a shepherd and his animals. Used until recently in winter by the CAF du Haut-Doubs, these premises seem to have returned to their pastoral function. The Commune de Fourcatier-Maison Neuve may know more...? As for the name, it's not a joke... There is a place called "La Gentille", around which two alpine chalets were built at different times: the old one, the new one. Near the Franco-Swiss border, alongside the Chemin de la Grande Combe (Val de Joux side), 800 m WNW as the crow flies from boundary marker 87. Private.
