Rules for Using Forest Shelters The shelter you have chosen is private property of the commune or the State, intended to provide shelter for forestry workers. They have priority of use over hikers. If the shelter is not being used by forestry staff, the commune is happy to make it available to visitors, subject to the following rules: Use limited to one day, except in case of distress. Overnight stays are forbidden. Sharing the space with others if necessary. No reservations possible. Fires allowed only in the stove, taking all necessary precautions. Firewood must be supplemented with wood found on site. The shelter must be left clean, taking your rubbish and empty bottles with you. The Municipality or the State's forestry workers ensure these rules are respected and will take the necessary measures in case of abuse.
