Rifugio at 894-905 m in the La Fania area, in the Apuan Alps (municipality of Stazzema, province of Lucca, Tuscany). Managed by the UOEI section of Pietrasanta. Built in 1956 beneath a magnificent centuries-old beech forest, from which the name "La Fania" derives. Exceptional panoramic position below the Pania della Croce and the Cresta Pulita. Access from Pruno via the routes Pruno → Colle a Iapoli → Le Caselle → Rifugio Fania → Collemezzana → Cascata dell'Acquapendente → Pruno (loop), or from Levigliani via the Rifugio Del Freo. A stop favored by hikers in the Apuan Alps, between marble and wilderness.
