The place

Contains a table with two benches. Refuge belonging to the Canton of Vaud. It was built as a shelter for forestry workers who have priority use of it. If forestry staff don't need it, the Canton of Vaud is happy to make it available to walkers, provided they respect the following conditions: 1. Length of stay is limited to one day; 2. Except in case of distress, it is forbidden to spend the night there; 3. If needed, use must be shared with other people; 4. Any reservation is excluded; 5. Fire may only be lit in the stove and with all usual precautions; the wood used must be supplemented with deadwood found in the surrounding forest; 6. When you leave this refuge, leave it clean and take all your rubbish and empty bottles with you; 7. The cantonal forestry service reserves the right to ensure compliance with these rules and to take appropriate measures if necessary, to prevent any misuse. Allow 20 minutes on foot from the Corne de Fer. Canton of Vaud / On foot or by bike, located at the edge of a driveable track (but closed to traffic).
