Forest Shelter: Rules and Recommendations The Forest Shelter is a shelter located in municipal and cantonal forests, belonging to the municipality or the State. It is intended primarily for forestry workers, but may be used by walkers subject to the following conditions: Restrictions and Recommendations Occupation limited to one day. Overnight stays formally forbidden except in cases of distress. Sharing use with other people if necessary. No booking possible. Fires allowed only in the stove, with care, using dead wood found in the surrounding area. Obligation to leave the shelter clean, taking all waste and empty bottles with you. Location and Coordinates Located on the Chemin de la Roche Champion, before the sign marking the entrance to the Grand Risoud. A bit of history
Ce site correspond aux vestiges d'un ancien chalet d'alpage, le premier cité dans les études historiques locales sous ce nom. Il se situait sous la limite forestière d'une forêt appartenant autrefois au souverain, et aurait été abandonné vers le milieu du dix-neuvième siècle. Il n'en subsiste aujourd'hui que des pans de murs effondrés et des amas de pierres.
