The place
Artistic wooden shelter at 255 m, designed and built by Isabelle Aubry and Pierre Guilloteau in 2018 as part of the Sentiers d'Art trail. In Somme-Leuze (Belgium), near the village of Heure, on the edge of the 141 km loop marked in red. Doorless shelter built around a tree, able to accommodate 2 people sleeping. Sculptural architecture that wraps around and protects the trunk of a tree, inviting visitors to create, meditate and recharge, drawing inspiration from nature. Project carried out in collaboration with the Andenne Ceramics Museum and with the support of the Carmeuse company. Open year-round to non-motorised hikers.

L'abri se trouve à proximité du village de Heure (commune de Somme-Leuze), sur le circuit balisé en rouge des Sentiers d'Art.
The setting
Abri construit en bois, autour d'un arbre, sans porte, en zone boisée du Condroz (Ardenne belge), à 255 m d'altitude. Aire de bivouac pour environ 4 tentes à environ 400 m au nord.
A bit of history
Cette construction est une œuvre d'art contemporain réalisée en 2018 par les artistes Isabelle Aubry et Pierre Guilloteau. Elle s'inscrit dans le réseau « Sentiers d'Art », un ensemble de plus de 60 œuvres de land art et de fresques disséminées le long d'environ 160 km de sentiers balisés en Condroz-Famenne (Wallonie).
