The place

Päivätupa (day hut) run by Metsähallitus, complemented by a laavu (lean-to shelter), a halkovaja (woodshed) and dry toilets. A day-use stop, not for overnight stays, designed for hot meals and a break from the weather. Important: Kuulea is among the sites for which Metsähallitus has announced it will stop maintenance in 2026 — furnishings and firewood may no longer be replenished, the hut remains accessible to users at their own risk.
