The place

Free open wilderness hut (autiotupa) managed by Metsähallitus in the Käsivarsi wilderness area, municipality of Enontekiö, northern Finnish Lapland. Named Gođđoguoika in Sami. Six beds, located at the northern end of Lake Ylimmäinen Vuontisjärvi, northwest of Kalkkiaiva. Equipment: stove (kamiina), bench, table and benches; surface water must be boiled before drinking. Firewood provided is reserved for heating the hut (not for outdoor fires). Pets allowed only with the agreement of other guests. Free accommodation, shared, first come first served.
