The place

Free-access, four-bunk autiotupa (open wilderness hut) on the bank of the Lemmenjoki River, at the western end of Morgamjärvi (Lemmenjoki National Park, Inari municipality, Lapland). Building from the late 1980s, renovated in 2001. A kota (Sami-style hut), a campfire hearth, and a bivouac area round out the nearby amenities.

Getting there

Junction point of the Solojärvi-Muddusjärvi-Njurkulahti waterway route and the Lemmenjoki Gold Trail. Motorboat service from Njurkulahti in summer runs up the Lemmenjoki to Kultasatama.
