The place
Mountain house (planinarska kuća) at 1100 m in the Oštarijske Položaje area, in forest, on the road linking Baške Oštarije to Štirovača via Stupačinova, about 7 km from Oštarije, in the central Velebit massif (Croatia). A former forestry building converted and maintained by the HPD Visočica section of Gospić: eight sleeping places, a kitchen and two rooms, a rainwater cistern in front of the house. Open on request. A marked trail climbs from the kuća to the summit of Jadičevac (1274 m) in about 40 minutes, where the summit logbook box is found. A base for routes in the central Velebit and the connection to Paklenica National Park.
