The place
Staffed Swiss Alpine Club hut at 1,903 m in the Maderanertal (canton of Uri). Eighty sleeping places in season, thirty in the winter shelter. 2026 seasons: spring March 12-April 10, summer June 4-September 27. New management since mid-October by Irene Aeberhard and Ueli Arnold, taking over from Irene and Markus after 46 years of service. Activities: mountaineering, climbing, ski touring and trekking. Equipment rental, guided routes offered.
