Krokbua

The place

Beautiful old log cabin (Krokbua) run by DNT Lillehammer in the area known as Kroken, on the banks of the Mesnaelva river near Lillehammer (Innlandet, Norway), at 485 meters elevation. Building about 100 years old, recently renovated. Six sleeping spots on four wide bunk beds. Wood stove, solar panels and electric lighting installed in 2019, wheelchair-accessible outdoor toilet, easy access via the dam construction road. Whole-cabin rental (no rental by the bed): 800 NOK/night for DNT members, 1,000 NOK for non-members. Code lock with special key. Bring your own sleeping bag or sheet liner, bring drinking water, cleaning and waste disposal are the occupants' responsibility.
