The place
DNT self-service cabin at 940 m north of the Svartevassmagasinet reservoir, on the Skinnvegen (an old route between Setesdal and Lysebotn, Bykle, Agder, Norway). Twenty-eight beds in total: twelve in the main cabin, bookable, four in an annex, plus four beds in a dog-friendly safety cabin in an isolated corridor. No electricity; gas, wood stove and candles. Equipped kitchen, bedding and provisions on site.

Getting there
Cabin left unlocked. Access from Storsteinen, Bossbu, Heibergtunet Storevatn or Bykle (Setesdalen) via day-long stages. Fishing possible in Kringlevatnet, Svartevassmagasinet and Såvatn.
