The place
Kota (day-shelter tipi) built in 1998 at the southern end of the Pallas-Ylläs trail, in Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park (Kolari, Lapland). The wilderness café-restaurant Kotamaja Erämaakahvila is immediately nearby. A hearth for breaks and meals. No overnight sleeping.
Getting there
An important service point in the southern part of the park, on the Hangaskuru-Tahkokuru-Kesänkijärvi loop.
