The place

Free Metsähallitus autiotupa in the Pulju wilderness area (Kittilä, northern Lapland), near Korsalompolo. A historic cabin dating from the 1920s-1940s; the year "1945" is carved into the wooden wall. **Protected building**, one of the few still in original use as a kruuntupa (Crown cabin / nimismies cabin). Sauna on site (Korsatupa sauna), a distinctive feature among the area's autiotupat. Restored by Metsähallitus as part of the programme to renovate remote wilderness huts. A free stopover with no booking required, under the usual autiotupa regime in Finland.
