The place
Category I alpine refuge of the DAV Munich section, located at 2051 m altitude in the Wetterstein massif (Bavaria), on the edge of the Zugspitzplatt overlooking the Reintalanger. Built in 1855, it is the oldest hut of the Munich section. Classic base camp for the easiest route to the Zugspitze (2962 m) via the Reintal. 34 staffed places + 4 in the winter room.
