Kloaschaualm
The place
The Kloaschaualm is a self-catering hut of the German Alpine Club, Oberland section, at 887 m altitude in the Ursprungtal near Bayrischzell (Schlierseer Berge, Mangfallgebirge, Bavarian Prealps). 24 beds spread across comfortable 4-bed dorms and one 12-bed dorm. Running water, toilets and washrooms available. Very easy 30-minute access from the car park/bus stop via an almost flat forest track. An ideal base for classic Prealps ascents on lightly-trodden routes. In winter, a cross-country ski trail from the Bayrischzell Nordic centre passes right in front of the hut.
