The place
Self-service DNT cabin at 812 m in Gausdal Vestfjell (Innlandet, Norway), near the Kittilbu Utmarksmuseum and on the Jotunheimstien trail. Five sleeping spots: three in the main building and two in the sikringsbua (emergency annex that doubles as a dog room). Equipped kitchen, 220 V electricity in both buildings.

Summer: road open (Fv 204 between Forset at Vestre Gausdal and Fagernes), then a 300 m gravel path from the museum. Winter: plowed road up to Værskei, about 4 km from the cabin. Managed by Gausdal Fjellstyre.
