The place

Mountain forest lodge ("Felsőház") at 358 m near the stop of the Nagybörzsöny forest railway, close to the Tolmács-hegy viewpoint. Renovated stone building, ten places in rooms with bunk beds (tables, chairs, storage) plus up to twenty additional mattress places across three rooms (for 8 and 4 people). Common area with a coffee corner and reheating kitchen, hot water, wood-stove heating, insulated windows. Managed by Ipoly Erdő ZRt (state forests). 2025 rates: HUF 69,300 per night for the bunk-bed dormitory, HUF 50,400 for the 8-place mattress dormitory, HUF 50,400 to rent the lower house (capacity 6). Activities offered: guided forest walks (HUF 750/person), night hikes, guided wildlife watching. Coordinates 47.91528° N, 18.87528° E.
