The place

Small unstaffed DNT hut perched on the Løkjedalsnuten, in the Stølsheimen massif between Bergsdalen and Kvammafjella (Hordaland). Imposing views of Botnen, Fyksesund and the Folgefonna ice cap beyond the Hardangerfjord. Open year-round, with no restocking, wood heating and cooking equipment. T-marked trails from Hodnaberg (580 m, 5.3 km, shortest starting point), Hamlagrø, Breidablik, Vending and Botnen.
