Karlshütte
The place
Forest holiday hut located in the Holzwald area, in the municipality of Bad Rippoldsau-Schapbach in the central Black Forest (Baden-Württemberg). Managed by ForstBW, the forestry administration of the State of Baden-Württemberg, it welcomes walkers "beim Förster" right on the edge of the Westweg, the historic long-distance trail linking Pforzheim to Basel. The Bad Rippoldsau area, the highest spa town in the Black Forest, is kept lively by a Schwarzwaldverein active since its refounding in 1923. Rustic accommodation for groups or families, by reservation with the forestry estate; fuel and supplies must be brought.
