Historic trapper's hut of wallaby trapper Joe Slatter (possum and wallaby fur trapping, 1900s-30s, in the drought-prone habitat of the Central Highlands plains-plateau), area with Nothofagus gunnii (the only deciduous native tree in Australia, "fagus"), Tasmanian Wilderness UNESCO listed in 1982 (meeting 7 of 10 criteria, only 3 sites worldwide).
