The place

Stone house with an outside staircase at 426 m in the Caroux-Espinouse / Lacaune massif (Hérault, Occitanie). Restored and open to all. No mattresses, blankets, latrines or stove, but a fireplace and firewood nearby. Stream right behind the refuge, captured water. Hunters' shelter open to hikers. Aqueduct nearby, used to irrigate crops.
