The place

Self-service cabin run by DNT Oslo og Omegn at 1,130 meters elevation, near Jammerdalshøgda (Innlandet, Norway). Fourteen sleeping places in total, six of which can be booked in advance. No electricity; gas for cooking, wood stove for heating, cooking utensils and bedding provided. Summer access: 20 min from Friisvegen via a marked T trail; in winter, about 6 km from the Øksendalen car park or via the marked Trolløypa. The cabin is open year-round except for closure during wild reindeer calving from 10 April to 18 June. A stage on the SignaTUR SAGA route, terrain with good snow cover for skiing.
