Jadersdorfer Ochsenalm
The place
Alpine-pasture mountain inn located at about 1514 m on the Gaisrücken, in the Gailtal Alps (Carinthia, Austria). A stage of the Gailtaler Höhenweg between the Naggler Alm and the Kohlröslhütte, reached by ridge trail or by a drivable road. The Kohlröslhütte (1533 m) is a few minutes' walk away. The site is very popular for its sweeping views over the Weißensee, the Carnic Alps and the Kreuzeckgruppe range. An active alpine-pasture setting with meals, a popular base for traverses on the Gailtaler Höhenweg and the ascent of the Golz (2004 m).
Getting there
A stage of the Gailtaler Höhenweg between Naggler Alm and Kohlröslhütte. Accessible by car via the drivable Gaisrücken road.
