The place

Vuokratupa (rental cabin) of Metsähallitus Luontopalvelut on the west bank of the Pärjänjoki river, less than 3 km from the boundary of Syöte National Park (Pudasjärvi). A log cabin built in 2003 from the sauna of a former logging camp that once stood on the same spot, on the riverbank. Since 2021 the cabin can no longer be booked by individual bed — full rental for an entire group is required. Formerly a varaustupa, now reclassified as a vuokratupa.
