The place

Standard 6-bunk DOC backcountry hut in the Isolated Hill Scenic Reserve (southern Marlborough). No DOC track access: independent navigation required (map, compass, GPS). **The gorge route is not recommended**: risk of rockfall, unstable cliffs and landslides.
