The place
Innerdalshytta is a DNT cabin (KNT, Kristiansund branch) at 405 m elevation in the heart of Innerdalen, described as "Norway's most beautiful valley", northeast of Sunndalsøra in the Trollheimen range (on the border between Møre og Romsdal and Sør-Trøndelag). Staffed in the summer season, unstaffed the rest of the year. Several buildings: Nyhytta, Gammelhytta and Låven, staffed from 19 June to 31 August 2026. Gammelhytta has been named among the country's most beautiful tourist cabins (a blend of old-world charm and cultural landscape). At Nyhytta, traditional Norwegian cooking, goats in the yard. Shortest access: 1h30 on foot from the Nedal car park in Viromdalen, via a farm road. From Innerdalen, hikes to Bårdsgården and Kårvatn in western Trollheimen. More than 100 peaks over 1,500 m nearby.
