GKZ cabin (Caucasus State Zapovednik, Russia's oldest strict nature reserve, founded 1924, UNESCO 1999), in the area of Lake Imeretinskoye and Caucasian rhododendrons, heritage of the European bison Bison bonasus caucasicus, reintroduced since 1940 (the subspecies went extinct in 1927, the last one killed by a poacher in the Caucasus).
