Standard DOC hut with 8 bunks at 755 m in Ruataniwha Conservation Park (Canterbury, NZ). 6 hours (18 km) up the Huxley valley from the Hopkins valley at the end of Lake Ohau Road. Officers Hut is nearby, 20 m away. No booking, payment by DOC tickets in the honesty box or Backcountry Hut Pass.
