The place
52 m² self-service (ubetjent) DNT cabin at 271 m on a peninsula of Lake Ramstadsjøen in Østmarka (Norway). Capacity 8 people in two rooms with bunk beds and a mezzanine. Wood stove, gas cooker, basic dishware, candles, toilet paper, duvets and pillows for 8 beds, and blankets provided. Booking for DNT members only with a standard DNT key, check-in 2 pm / check-out 2 pm. Day visits 12 pm-4 pm allowed if not booked. Access from the Marikollen roundabout on the FV 120: 2.5 km south, right onto Tristilvegen, third left; or bus 350 to Engerhagan then a marked 2.5 km. In winter: the pump may be frozen, bring an axe and ice auger for water. Dogs not allowed inside. Cabin donated by Håkon Ljøgodt of Rælingen; very popular with families and all ages.
