Huikkimajoki autiotupa

The place

Free Metsähallitus autiotupa on the bank of the Huikinvárjohka — the northern Sámi name for the stream also called Huikkimajoki — in the Kaldoaivi wilderness area, municipality of Inari (northern Lapland). Eight shared sleeping spots on a wooden platform, wood stove (cooking and heating), shared cooking kit, outdoor fire pit, woodshed with firewood to split. Free stopover, no booking, maximum 1-2 nights under the autiotupa rules.
