The place

Vuokratupa rental cabin and sheep-grazing site in the southwest of Kolovesi National Park, Rekitaipale area, municipality of Enonkoski (South Savonia). Former farmhouse built in 1914, renovated in 2006-2007. 94 m² building with a main room-kitchen and two bedrooms, capacity 8 people. Managed by Metsähallitus Parks & Wildlife Finland. Available for free rental in summer and autumn, as Metsähallitus is currently seeking a new operator for the grazing land. Popular site in the "Paimenviikot" (shepherd weeks) programme. Access: 24 km from Enonkoski via forest tracks, including 500 m of cabin road.
