Höllbachschwellhütte ("Hell Creek Weir Hut") in the Bavarian Forest National Park (Bayerischer Wald), Bayerisch Eisenstein/Zwiesel area (Bavaria, Germany), at 990 m elevation, on the border with Czechia (Šumava National Park). DAV or Bayerischer Waldverein hut on the Goldsteig trail, in Germany's first Wildnis (wilderness) zone (park established 1970). Area of subalpine spruce and beech, "cradle of the wolf" (naturally reintroduced).
