The place

Unmanned DNT cabin run by Bergen og Hordaland Turlag at 905 m in the Bergsdalen-Kvammafjella sector (Vestland). 25 bunks between the main cabin and the emergency cabin. Open year-round, unlocked. Gas hobs, wood stove, outdoor toilets, no electricity or running water. Bedding and dishes provided, small supply store. Shortest access is 6 km from Lid in Bergsdalen (blue trail); other routes from Dale, Vaksdal, Kvitingen and Gullhorgabu (red trails). Two dog kennels in the emergency cabin (dogs not allowed in the main building). Partial mobile coverage.
