The place

Metsähallitus rental hut in Helvetinjärvi National Park at Ruovesi (Pirkanmaa). Modest 2-room cabin with kitchen, on the tip of a small peninsula in an open pine forest on the shore of Lake Haukkajärvi. Wood-fired sauna, dry toilet, jetty, wood shed; no electricity or running water. Access via the Kuru-Virrat road (route 65) through the village of Kallio, Haukanhieta car park then a 600 m walk. Booking for exclusive private use, maximum capacity 6 people. Available from 15 May to 1 November via Eräluvat.fi.
