Hengeltjørnloftet

The place

DNT hut of the Aust-Agder Turistforening (AAT) between Lake Nesvann and Lake Fyresvann, south-west facing with good sun exposure and views over the Hengeltjørn. Capacity of 19 beds across three levels (bunk beds, double beds, benches with mattresses). Formerly Hengeltjørnloftet (until 2011, only the loft — "loftet" — was accessible); since the takeover by AAT, the whole building is open and the hut has been renamed Hengeltjørnhytta. Access: marked 4 km trail from Løkedalskrysset (usable in winter, unmarked). Open year-round. Contact: 37 02 32 14 or aat@dnt.no.
