Heiberghytta Grautheller

The place

Small historic DNT cabin located 300 m north of Grautheller turisthytte, former hunting lodge of Thorvald Heiberg in Setesdal/Njardarheim (south-western Norway). Once used by servants and hunting assistants at Njardarheim; fully renovated in 2002. Four sleeping spaces in the main room, small kitchenette with two gas stoves and a wood stove, indoor toilet, wood shelter. Unstaffed hut with no supplies on site: the neighbouring Grautheller has a supply depot. Whole cabin rented by reservation via hyttebestilling.dnt.no. Good fishing opportunities, a base for Børsteinen, Heibergtunet Storevatn, Taumevatn and Litle Aurådal.
