Hannukuru varaustupa

The place

Varaustupa (booking hut) midway along the Hetta-Pallas summer trail in Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, 28 km from Hetta and 27 km from Pallas. Made up of two sections, "Hanna" and "Hannu," each with 12 places (24 in total) in bunk beds with mattresses, pillows, and blankets — bring your own sheets or sleeping bag. Shared drying room with a stove, gas cooker, pots, frying pan, and coffee pot. Sauna near a lake about 150 m away. No running water (the Hannukuru well is closed). Site inaccessible during spring thaw — good orienteering skills required in difficult season conditions. Maintained by Metsähallitus Parks & Wildlife Finland.
